Description:
- An eye care center in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team. This is a long-term opportunity and a great chance to work within a specialty practice that offers room for growth. They offer merit based increases/bonuses, excellent benefits, 401k match, paid time off (sick time, vacations, and holidays). The hours are standard day-shift.
Responsibilities:
- Perform screenings to support provider visit requirements including; patient history data entry, preliminary examinations and testing to keep patient flow (4-6 patients per hour).
- Provide EMR entry, notes and charting while assisting provider with any scribing.
- Prepare and room patients within the clinical practice setting. Accurately obtains patient vital signs, documents patient information, patient history, and medication screening.
- Sets up instrumentation and/or equipment for in-office minor surgery and laser procedures; assists with procedures, cleans exam/treatment room and sterilizes instruments after use.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Healthcare Experience (ophthalmic assistant or medical assisting experience).
- EMR experience.
- COA or COT certification nice to have, but not required.
