What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microbiology Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
- The micro techs will be working in the research facility
- priority of the day to day will be focused around sample prep
- Pulling, prepping, and plating samples is the main task
- will get some exposure to using water baths, ovens, depending on project - Vitas, PCR and some other diagnostic instrumentation
- Heat treatments, process validation
- Plating
- Media Prep
Skills & Qualifications:
- AS/BS degree in science related function
- lab/sample prep experience is a plus
- Biology/Microbiology
- Quality Control
