Actalent is currently hiring a Supervisor with proven leadership experience and high level communication skills in the Lenexa, KS area. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your leadership abilities in a multi-faceted position with the responsibility of developing a team of manufacturing and production personnel. Qualified candidates must have working experience as a Manager or Supervisor in a fast paced manufacturing facility with excellent mechanical aptitude.
Description:
- Directs and manages all build, fabrication and facility functions and is responsible for the performance of personnel to ensure divisional metrics are met with the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for overall employee development in cross functional areas such as fabrication, logistics, assembly, and maintenance.
- Strive for continuous improvement in tools, practices, quality, and lead time within all aspects of processes. 5S practices driven throughout the shop and other areas.
- Drives strong Change Order Management for scope changes and CAPEX plans to completion.
- Oversee all equipment is maintained around the facility.
- Participate in the Quality Management Program initiatives, recommend corrective actions, improve and uphold Health and Safety Policies, ISO Procedures.
- Maintain, Train, and Improve upon existing ISO standards and systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or Operational Management is highly preferred, equivalent work experience required.
- 7 years’ experience in an operational leadership role in a manufacturing or custom equipment environment.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization, both verbally and written.
- Ability to interpret schedules and assign workload.
- Lean, Six-Sigma, QRM, or other continuous improvement experience.
- Computer knowledgeable with such programs as Windows, Excel, Word, MS Outlook, Adobe, etc.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes, including inspection tools.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems.
- Robotics experience a plus.
- Must be hands-on and able to meet deadlines.
