Organic Chemist

Description:

• Operate instrumentation (ICP-MS primarily) for flow injection analyses of aqueous, soil, and sludge samples.
• Prepare samples according to SOPs for several wet chemistry parameters.
• Process results into analytical data packages reflecting QA/QC procedures and adhering to EPA documentation requirements.
• Support external audit & implement revisions of methodology.
• Maintain function of apparatuses, weekly stock of equipment, and general laboratory cleanliness.

Skills & Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree in chemistry related fields.
• Must be able to independently run ICP/MS (Metals)
• Must be able to trouble shoot ICP/MS Agilent 7900 (Metals)
• Have experience in the analysis of drinking water, water pollution, solid/hazardous waste samples or air samples with at least 6 of those months being on the ICP/MS.
