What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pilot Plant Technician*** 19/HR position at Actalent?
Description:
- Mixing ingredients and preparing food products according to SOPs.
- Heats up and prepares new food products produced by R&D scientists to coat pet food for palatability studies.
- Inventory control for the coating lab.
- Conduct experimental trials for the Coating Lab (Ex - Does heating, cooling, and reheating affect the overall flavor of a food product?).
- Assists scientists in flavor preparation and ingredient weighing.
- Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment and work areas including but not limited to instruments, walls, floors, shelves, tables and sinks.
- Will troubleshoot mechanical equipment as necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or AS Degree
- 6 months - 1 year of production experience or chemical manufacturing preferred in a regulated GMP environment.
- Packaging or warehouse experience would work as well.
- Mechanical aptitude
