What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piping Designer position at Actalent?
Actalent is currently looking for an experienced Piping Designer for a full time opportunity with a growing manufacturing company in the greater Reading, Pa area. Interested candidates should be an expert in the latest AutoCAD revision. The assignment requires the ability to read and create P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams). This candidate will be responsible for both the designs and drawing updates as well as maintaining the CAD library. The job also requires the ability to communicate with mechanical, structural and electrical engineers as well as craftsman performing construction projects in an industrial manufacturing plant to help direct/resolve installation issues. Interested candidates should have the following qualifications:
-5 years of experience with Piping Design for an industrial manufacturing setting or plant
-5 years of experience creating and reading P&ID's for plant and industrial facilities
-5 years of experience and proficiency for using AutoCAD 2D for piping designs
-5 years of experience field measuring piping systems in plants
-Heavy industrial experience preferred
