Description:
Our client partners with commercial, residential, and government clients to deliver Land Development solutions. They perform Land Development Engineering, Land Planning, and Land Surveying. They have recently been awarded several new projects over the last months and have a massive backlog of work. As a result, they are looking to add a Land Planner (Planner I) to the team.
What does a Land Planner do? A land planner develops blueprints for land development. It’s their job to analyze recently acquired rural and urban land to ensure that all land use plans are safe, efficient, and environmentally-friendly. As a land planner, your duties include creating development proposals, processing zoning permits, and mapping out land use logistics. A land planner works closely with land developers, government officials, and community members. Typically, Land Planners will have a degree in a related field (Environmental, Civil Engineering, or Urban Planning) and work experience working with Land Developers.
Responsibilities:
-Preparation of feasibility studies, code analysis, planting plans, conceptual layouts, graphic presentations materials, landscape and hardscape designs, miscellaneous research related to new or potential residential and commercial projects. These design components will be completed utilizing a current version of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and other software required to perform the position duties.
-Assist in preparation of entitlement plans and design guidelines
-Assist in Preparation of graphic exhibits, site plan illustratives, and 3D visualization work
-Assist the engineering department to include the preparation of landscape plans, arborist or tree preservation plans, other items that may be deemed pertinent
