Principal Systems Engineer

As a Principal Engineer in Systems Engineering, you will apply a solid understanding of standard Systems engineering

principles to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input. Plans, schedules and leads

project assignments in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures and

criteria with minimal guidance. As part of this role, you will be applying simulation & system modeling techniques to

build prototypes and prove the concepts as necessitated by the projects in the exploratory design development

cycles collaborating with cross functional teams.

• Applies diligence in determining the best solution(s) for technical issues. Focuses on critical information

without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail.

needs for a product or process domain area.

• Has an understanding of clinical and user needs and is able to apply to product realization

• Understands and contributes to resolution of competing constraints among inter-related functions

• Contributes to the program/project or the organization’s technical strategy.

• Demonstrates good business judgment in balancing budget, profitability and vendor relationships;

understands business financials and resulting impacts that decisions have on the business.

• Thorough understanding and drives application of phases of life cycle management

• Ability to apply life cycle management principles within exploratory, new product development or sustaining

phases

• Can perform as an independent reviewer in technical and design reviews

• Leverages knowledge of technology, process, and/or therapy domains to drive solutions and product design

realization.

• Proposes and drives solutions to sophisticated technical problems.

Qualifications

B.S.in Computer Science, Electrical, Bio-Medical, Software Engineering or related field and 6 years of related

experience.

• Strong Experience in Digital Twin, Simulations, System modeling using Model Based Design techniques.

• Expertise in controls and algorithms development in safety critical products and domains such as medical,

aerospace, and automotive etc.

• Display a solid understanding of theories/practices applied by other fields outside primary area of expertise.

• Ability to convince management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal

methods.

• Effectively operate in and may facilitate cross-functional teams.

• Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications.

• Experience with embedded or application software development.
