Job Title: Prior Authorization Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing the pre-certification, insurance requirements, and coverage limitations for patients prior to discharge. You will maintain effective communication with clinical pharmacists, social workers, and program administrators to ensure accurate financial information for claim adjudication. Your responsibilities include faxing necessary information to insurance companies to secure authorization numbers, supporting concierge service-related activities from prescription intake to bedside delivery, collaborating with internal team members and external partners to coordinate drug coverage, and following up on pending authorizations and referrals.
