Quality Assurance Lab Technician (FIRST SHIFT)

Job Description:
QA Lab Technician is responsible for assuring that products are being manufactured in conformance with established specifications and procedures and in accordance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for making sure the raw materials are properly identified and released. Provides technical support for Value Stream Managers, Value Stream Leaders and Line Operators maintaining a system of line / machine checks, inspection of incoming materials and finished goods, internal audits and in the completion of appropriate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of a Quality System compliant with FDA / OTC and ISO regulations.
- Use analysis of results to recommend process changes.
- Maintain accurate, complete and traceable documentation related to analysis and disposition of in-process materials, raw materials and finished goods.
- Assure raw materials are appropriately identified and released before use in production.
- Maintain computer data system to reflect product release / quarantine status.
- Assure that all finished goods are identified and released according to work instructions.
- Document, track, analyze and report quality measurement data on incoming materials and finished goods as required.
- Support the communication with suppliers regarding quality issues, and supplying samples.
- Support the maintenance of documentation and tracking of nonconforming and rejected material.
- Provide support to Production in all Quality efforts.
- Provide resources for decision making for managers / supervisors.
- Support calibration and testing by verification of calibration and inspection of test equipment in production.
- Perform testing, measurements, and special testing as required by QA Manager.
Skills & Qualifications:
- HS diploma/ GED required
- 1 year of QA experience within a manufacturer - GMP setting
- Physical Property Testing experience (preferred)
- Some lab experience preferred
Pay:
- $23/hr
- Benefits
Shift Day or Night:
- One opening is M-F 8am-5pm
- Another opening for Night Shift 6pm-6am 2-2-3 rotating schedule
