What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Actalent?
Description:
Entry level inspector role. Candidates will work in quality control, checking all incoming product and shipments ensuring not only correct products/ingredients/materials, but also that they are up to the quality standard. Will complete this same process upon shipment of a product to ensure they are sending the correct items and they are up to standard.

Microscope work
Inspection of slides from formulation group
Maybe some Spectrometry
These are very simple tasks, the paperwork part is mostly limited to just verifying the labels are correct. The physical inspection is just ensuring the seals are on right and everything looks okay. They may use mic/cals for some things as well.
JD -
• Follow SOPs to perform quality control inspections including receiving, work in process and final acceptance
• Maintain records for receiving, work in process and final acceptance inspection
• Assists in developing quality control inspection forms
• Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels
• Reports and assists with the management of all nonconformities
• Value added improvements identified and recommended
• Actively engage in ensuring a safe and working environment for all associates within the company
• Ensure timely treatment and reporting of all safety incidents that occur
• All other duties as assigned and/or necessary for the success of the position and department

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors in the Sciences preferred
Must Haves:
-Any sort of inspection experience (paperwork verification or mic/cal)
-Understand and be comfortable with GMP and/or GDP (good mfg practive & good doc practive)
Pluses:
-Mics/cals
-Experience doing basic instrumentation evaluations or tests
-More products they have worked with the better
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience as inspector, R & D technician, biotech, histotech, or medical devise experience a plus
• Experience with SAP desired
• Experience with ANSI Z1.4 sampling planning
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
