Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description
Develops and documents procedures for product manufacturing, testing/validation, and inspection. Works closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, DFx) to develop and write work instructions, assembly processes/flows, and internal test methods and procedures. Develops and documents job descriptions detailing roles and authorities of the personnel and teams involved in production/build. Interfaces with project managers and other production personnel to provide technical/quality support for products and assure the quality of incoming materials. Develops and documents methods and procedures for the disposition of non-conforming materials and ensures that effective root-cause analysis is performed. Provides process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, simplify processes, and improve validation activities by creating and executing protocols for new and existing processes. Develops statistical methods to support process control and product/process improvement.
Hard Skills
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, and QSR Standards
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Analysis
- Experience creating control plans
- Lean Manufacturing
- QMS Certification (nice to have)
