What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remote Piping Designer position at Actalent?
Description:
- This candidates role will be initially allocated to a confidential project for clients M&C team.
- With minimal instruction and with written procedures and guidelines, prepare design and detail layouts using advanced piping design techniques.
- Provide technical guidance for the pertinent portions of the assigned projects.
- Provide most design, layout, and checking of deliverables.
- Efficiently utilizes CAD systems including 3D design tools.
- Monitor design and drafting work of CAD personnel and coordinate with other disciplines, as necessary.
- Interpret and applies applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
- Provide schedule for work assignments.
- Prepare calculations to support design.
Qualifications:
- CAD and 3D design proficient. Experience with Plant 3D and Revit a plus.
- Sound understanding of engineering terminology and industry practices.
- Experience leading a project or project team of multiple designers.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
- Understanding of design and associated design documents for assigned projects.
