What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Director position at Actalent?
Description:
1. To coordinate new hire orientation, and to perform/coordinate any safety related training that is needed 2. To ensuring company OSHA compliance a. Assisting in annual filing requirements b. Serving as the initial point of contact and working with an outside safety consultant as needed c. Determining, documenting and assisting in the circulation of all safety related information d. Attending and coordinating all OSHA inspections and requirements e. Attending all hearings, depositions, and completing/coordinating all violation related correspondence 3. Assigning employee tool box talk topics and coordinating distribution and follow up 4. Responsible for company PPE supply and distribution a. Coordinating the purchase and disbursement to employees b. Coordinating the training and proper use, as need 5. Responsible for reviewing and updating the company Safety Manual 6. Responsible for conducting and coordinating all job site visits a. To ensure compliance with all state, federal, and job specific requirements b. To issue any violations, if applicable c. To ensure proper site posting requirements d. To be part of the initial project meetings, when needed 7. To perform the lead role in incident prevention a. Completing initial incident report for/with Superintendent and investigating circumstances b. Collecting and reviewing Subcontractor incident reports c. Submitting reports and additional info to Risk Controller d. Coordinating all follow up needs 8. To coordinate and present safety related company presentations and meetings 9. Responsible to ensure that all additional company safety related requirements are met or exceeded as needed
