Description:
A Mechanical Designer is responsible for performing computer aided design for 3D models and 2D prints as well as entering and maintaining engineering data for all physical parts per company and industry standards. Work closely with mechanical, electrical and system engineers to ensure models and drawings are correct, per company standards and methodology and up to date. The expectation is to learn and grow within the group and transition to a technical leadership role based on project work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in plastic part design for high volume industry ( consumer goods)
- Expertise on thermo-plastic.
- Experience with Plastic injection process
- Min 8 years' experience in the above field in a design engineering team.
- Extended knowledge in plastic design guideline.
- Strong in plastic part connection, snap fit and sonic welding.
- Strong knowledge in Stack up tolerances and GD&T.
- Knowledge of injection tool design
- CAD strong knowledge, Catia V5 a plus
- Experience with overmolding / Bi-materail injection a strong plus
- hands on experience with plastic part manufacturing - a plus
