What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Engineer position at Actalent?
Actalent Services is seeking to add a Project Engineer to this growing team in Draper!
Description:
Looking for a Project Engineer to help with their OEP or large cost savings projects across multiple facilities within their R&D team. This person will focus on spear heading projects to redesign and save costs on plastic kits with single use disposable equipment or tools. This person will partner with manufacturing teams to implement large scale critical component changes as well as sterilizations modifications (Changing EBO to GAMMA, or EBEAM etc.). This person is also expected to be the design control lead and product owner of these projects. This will consist of confirming and designing in Solidworks, running and using testing methods, communicating with other peers to ensure effectiveness, and being able to manage 3-5 projects at once if needed.
This is a great opportunity to learn a lot about the product and as the confidence continues to grow, there will be room to implement more changes down the line. A lot of the new designs and projects are already built out currently but they are in need of having this person to lead the charge on getting it done.
MUST HAVES:
5-7 years of R&D Product Development experience
BA required (Mechanical or Biomedical)
Autocad and Solidworks experience
Experience working with single use or disposable products (Class 2)
Understanding and experience with high volume plastic components (sterol packaging, Luer, bags, needle standards)
Ability to look at cost effectiveness and drive results
Able to travel to Mexico if need be for work a few weeks throughout the year
NICE TO HAVE:
Ability to apply standards
Redesigning parts to conform to MDD/MDR Regulations (this is not a compliance focused role)
