Description:
- The Social Worker leads groups and completes psychosocial assessments. This is performed within the first 24 hours of patient intake. - Handle 10-15 patient cases per day - They do both 1 on 1's and group sessions - Patients may be their on 5150 holds (72 hour), 5250 holds (14 day), or voluntary holds - They are responsible for discharge planning and referrals to community resources. They performs the necessary technical and professional duties involved in the coordination of all social service activities for the Senior Mental Health patients including welcoming and introducing patient and family to the unit, gathering data for psychosocial assessment, conducting process groups and ensuring appropriate and timely discharge planning. - They must be able to separate personal issues and outside stressors from the work place in order to maintain a professional relationship with patients/families and utilization review personnel. -This position requires the ability to analyze situations and problem solve appropriately. -This position is responsible for interacting with the following age groups: adult and geriatric (geropsych). They takes direction and is accountable to the Program Manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Requirements : Master Degree in Social Work required. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required . Two years of post-master’s experience in a mental health setting required. BLS required (within 30 days upon hire). MAB (90 days upon hire) required.
