What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Analyst position at Actalent?
Description:
These positions are in Automotive Organization, supporting Engineers that work on Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates.
• Will provide support by managing the communication with the testing team (scheduling tests, reporting on vehicle test results to other teams, documenting test results, emailing everyone updates).
• Will eventually be running some vehicle tests, and collecting CAN data. Will also be asked to update CAN data logs eventually. Will be doing what is considered ‘light duty’ testing and will not be doing the analysis or engineering re-work of tests.
Skills:
- MS office suite, Scheduling, electronics knowledge, vehicle knowledge, Excel data entry, Flashing
- Strong communication skills to support cross functional team interaction.
- Basic vehicle knowledge (either from school, past employment, or personal hobbies & interests) This is not a mechanic role, but having an idea about vehicle layout makes this position much easier to learn
- Passion for automotive industry, vehicle electronics, vehicle software, new technology.
Qualifications:
- (Minimum) H.S. Diploma, preferred Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor’s (but no Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology will be considered)
Mandatory
•Valid U.S. Driver’s License (not suspended or restricted)
