Job Title: Systems Engineer III

Job Description

The successful applicant will be experienced in keeping technical infrastructure running smoothly and balancing high priority issues. You should be comfortable taking on ambiguous challenges like setting up new pre-production hardware for the first time. You should be able to define SOPs, metrics, and alarms to keep equipment and test infrastructure highly available and expand the team's capabilities over time. You will be invaluable to enabling the team to move quickly and confidently with robust verification frameworks that scale with our systems. Responsibilities include: - Design, set up, and maintain test fixtures to verify software on real hardware - Utilize software and scripts for operations to keep things running and highly available - Troubleshoot software and hardware problems with pre-production equipment - Contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity, especially as it relates to rapid test iteration - Design and build advanced automated build, test, and release infrastructure - Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability

Hard Skills

• 2 years of non-internship professional software development or IT experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C , C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
• 2 years of experience in any of the following: test lab support, operational hardware support
• 2 years of experience with test automation, debugging, building test tools and testing frameworks
• 2 years of experience working with Linux based systems
• 2 years of experience in computer networking (admin level)

Soft Skills

• Ability to manage high priority issues
• Comfortable with ambiguous challenges
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Team collaboration and communication

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 48 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Redmond, Washington.
