Description:
Seeking a Software Lab Configuration Engineer to join the SLS EUS LabOps team located in Titusville, FL.
This position will focus on supporting one of the largest AErospace and Defense company in the world.
Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
System administration, to include user access, OS installation, SW baseline installation, and firmware installation.
Gathers information to support software project management
Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics
Supports software research and development projects
Troubleshoots basic software issues
Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and support
Works under general supervision
Skills & Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with technical writing and/or process documentation
Experience developing and maintaining scripts, particularly bash and Python
Experience in Linux and Windows System Administration
Experience with engineering tools: Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio, Word) and Windchill
Experience with developing and maintaining formal engineering logbooks and redlines
Experience with industrial power supplies (safe operations, configuration, SCPI)
Experience troubleshooting networks from physical to application layer
Experience with software languages: bash, C , Java, Python, and Tcl/Tk
Experience with software development tools: Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira), git, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, GNU make, databases (SQL or similar), and VS Code
Experience with software development methodologies: agile, kanban, scrum, DevOps.
