What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Test Engineer position at Actalent?
I'm currently hiring for Software Test Engineer position in the Fort Worth, TX area.
· Analyze technical requirements
· Independently write, execute, and maintain test cases and test procedure scripts. This may include new test documentation as well as support, maintenance, or enhancement of existing test documentation
· Create test results reports including code coverage reports
· Report test progress according to established release schedules
· Analyze test result to determine that test case/procedures are correct and report defects in a bug tracking system
· Ensure traceability of test procedures to test causes to HLRs and LLRs
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
· BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
· Experience with DO-178B/C and the Aerospace or Defense industry
· Experience with test automation software
· Experience with HIL test stand configuration and operation
· Experience reading and interpreting system and software requirements to develop test cases, test scripts and performing testing.
· Understanding of common software verification and validation concepts, including functional, performance, regression testing, boundary conditions, positive and negative test cases, and code coverage, etc.
· Ability to work well with others in a team environment
· Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
· Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally support periodic communication to management and technical teams is required.
