What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specimen Processor position at Actalent?
Accessioner:
Candidate will be working in a lab environment scanning in and completing data entry of specimens
Candidate will have to be comfortable handling COVID, urine, feces, blood, tissues and biopsies
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be technology savvy
Day to Day: Scan specimen, verify patient information, ensure specimen is viable and move up to next one. High volume of 200 specimens per shift
Bachelors preferred for accessioners, but not required
Shifts:
Tuesday-Saturday 6am-230pm
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors preferred for accessioners, but not required - Bachelor candidates might have the opportunity to eventually work in the molecular department
*Must be able to commit to at least 12 months*
*Candidates must be reliable and dependable*
*Attendance and punctuality are extremely important*
This positions requires handling upwards of 150 specimens per shift. The candidate would be required to scan, label, pack, and complete data entry. It is important that all work is completed properly and without mistakes!
