Sr Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: SR Mechanical Engineer (MEP)

Seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer to manage, design our HVAC projects in NYC.

Description:

The Sr Mechanical Engineer will survey and design the HVAC systems and prepare schematics, one-line diagrams, contract documents, and reports. This person will also possess strong project management skills. This is a full service MEP firm, the right candidate will also have experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing processes.

Schedule:

HYBRID: 3 days onsite, 2 days work from home

Must Haves:

• 5 Years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer (5-15 Year range)
• Experience with AutoCAD (Revit is a plus) - 80% of their projects is within AutoCAD
• Project type experience include healthcare, data centers, central plants, municipals, etc...

Responsibilities:

• Design of mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.
• Perform system design calculations and analyze mechanical system options with industry standard engineering and energy modeling software.
• Knowledgeable with all relative building codes and standards.
• Prepare design documents to detail the mechanical systems in basis of design report and specification formats.
• Review design deliverable assurance of technical accuracy and presentation quality.
• Coordinate work with architect and engineers of other disciplines.
• Manage projects for timely technical delivery and day to day liaison with design and client team.
