NYC Architectural Firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in NYC! This is an excellent opportunity for growth, with a firm that is highly recognized for their expertise in building, design, forensics, as well as restoration.
Job Description:
- Forensics and Building Envelope Projects
- Provide the technical design, detailing, and specification of structural repairs and new structural design on restoration projects
- Reviewing projects with the EIT
- Reviewing field work
- Coordinating with Architecture team and Project Manager on projects and addressing any structural issues and resolving them
- Trouble Shooting Projects
- Structural Calculations
- Develop complete construction documents including drawings, sketches, and specifications
- Hybrid Schedule - 3 days in Office, 2 days remote
- 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- 80% Design work, & 20% in the field
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer License
- 7 Years of Experience with Structural Design and Inspection of Restoration, Building Envelope, and Facade projects
- Experience with Retaining Walls, Structural Steel, Concrete, Masonry, and Wood structures
- Revit
- Experience with Structural Calculations
- QPSI Preferred
