Actively hiring for a Study Technical Trainee/Animal Technician in Madison, WI. This role will require working with animals in a laboratory setting.
Description:
A great opportunity for anyone looking to start or grow their career in a lab! As a Study Technician Trainee you will apply your scientific curiosity in researching the effectiveness, safety and toxicity of drugs in early development research studies.
Duties:
- Learns to collect and document pertinent data including animal observations, and test material administration in compliance with appropriate protocols, SOP's, GLP's and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Reviews own data and identifies potential problems.
- Maintains high standards of animal room husbandry and cleanliness
- May learn to clean and sanitize various types of equipment
- Assists with technical functions in accordance with training
- Reports all animal care concerns and become involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, as necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent at least 1 year of animal handling or work with animals
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Must be able to perform work with attention to detail within a performance based environment
Schedule and Pay:
- Monday - Friday, and every 3rd weekend
- 6AM - 4PM, must be willing to work overtime
- $21/hr
- Will work half of US Holidays
