What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveyor Assistant position at Actalent?
Description:
Will work with the Survey Crew Chief on a large industrial project near Marshall for 1 year. Will assist with surveying, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction stakeouts, etc. Will assist with survey calculations. Will conduct on-site inspections as needed. Will prepare project status and other reports. Will assist in the preparation of proposals. Will attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
Client also has jobs in Gaylord in Northern Michigan, and multiple is SE Michigan. They would not need to report to any office on a regular basis, and would basically work out of their company-issued work truck. Projects could vary after this large industrial surveying job, and could be MDOT, Commercial, Pipeline, etc..
Most ideal locations are:
1) Ann Arbor/Jackson/Marshall
2) Gaylord or Traverse City
3)SE Michigan
