Pay: $85K - $100K based on experience
Job Purpose/Summary:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for achieving an IT systems availability of 99.99%, as well as supporting cybersecurity and facilities operations. This role is responsible for the technical implementation and administration of IT systems and policies while serving as a technical resource for on-premises and cloud architectures. This position reports to the IT Manager and works closely with them to make recommendations for the design and configuration of operating systems and applications. The Systems Administrator investigates and analyzes the feasibility of system requirements and helps develop system specifications as well as identifies methods and solutions that align with business expectations. IT Industry best practices should be well known and strictly followed.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
· Four years of Linux preferred experience
· 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365
· Experience with administering cybersecurity policies
· Experience with modern unified threat management and endpoint software
· Experience implementing and managing enterprise business applications
· Knowledge of backup policies and procedures
· Agile and able to adjust to changing technical requirements
· Effective at priority and time management
· Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing
· Ability to promote a team-based culture and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust, and credibility
· Able to multi-task and positively respond to unplanned situations
· Ability and desire to assist other departments during all-hands projects and initiatives
Essential Job Functions:
· Daily administration of the server, storage, applications, and network infrastructure
· Ability to apply the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks to meet the system availability requirements resulting in scalable, sustainable, consistent, and repeatable business outcomes.
· Administer Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365
· Administer and maintain system backups, logs, and equipment inventory
· Administer approved patch and version release management procedures
· Assist in service desk delivery and administration
· Administer processes and procedures that ensure at least 99.99%
availability of IT systems
· Provide scheduled updates on systems statuses as well as task progression

· Performs other duties as directed and assigned
