Searching for engineer with manufacturing, testing, electrical assembly or aerospace experience. This position will deal with troubleshooting and potential design improvements. Employee will also gain tons of hands on experience within the aerospace industry working with qualified technicians and engineers.
Day to Day Job Roles
- Focus on improvement of mechanical assembly process of medium duty power components
- Maintain upkeep and perform improvement to existing build instructions
- Responsible for measuring, analyzing and driving improvements in the manufacturing processes and equipment used in the manufacture of electronics & electrical sub-assemblies specifications
- Provide manufacturing support to engineering, the Supplier Performance Management group and the Supplier for process/product improvements.
- Provide feedback to Supplier Quality on production related quality investigations.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing/One principles and tools to set up efficient production process flows
- Helps with operator training, SAP BOM updates, maintains paperwork
- Maintains and monitors SPC and first pass yield (FPY) information regarding product testing – leads improvement efforts related to improving FPY
- Chooses and designs simple tools provides input to engineering for complex tooling

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- BSME, or Manufacturing / Industrialization or Engineering degree with experience in Aerospace manufacturing preferred but not required
- Willing to accept relevant practical experience in lieu of degree
- A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Candidate skills & requirements
- Proficient at interpreting engineering drawings and applying appropriate manufacturing techniques regarding electronics and wound assembly manufacturing processes such as soldering, copper forming, brazing, impregnation, cabling and harnessing, and mechanical assembly.
- Knowledge of tooling design and use of hand tools for mechanical assembly of electrical components.
- Possess a working knowledge of Continuous Improvement activities and be fully conversant with PFMEA’s and
- CI techniques.
- Proficient with Aerospace industry standards
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels internally and externally, representing the company to the suppliers.
- New Product Development & Launch: Knowledge of the key phases and requirements of an effective new program process.
- Product development and launch system - i.e. APQP, PPAP, etc - and has basic knowledge of the associated tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Characteristic Matrix, Gage Capability, Process Capability, Process Flow.
- Preventive Maintenance, Machine Runoff, Risk analysis, Causal analysis, 8D, SPC etc
