Test Technician

Description:

• Research and development on natural and propane gas fired pool heaters • Perform ECN’s on Heat Pump products • Create test reports for each project assigned by department manager • Prove out design and performance improvements with engineer • Develop and perform life cycle testing modules • Verify new or updated products meet and/or exceed CSA safety standard testing Will be setting up tests, performing tests, gathering data and analyzing and communicating back to designers Will be testing new and current prototypes as well as customers parts Testing parts like filters, pumps, heat pumps, gas heaters, and compressors within R&D Setting Designs test setups and execute tests incorporating equipment such as flow meters, pressure transducers, vacuum transducers, voltmeters, and computerized test equipment where applicable

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have min of 2 year degree - prefer Engineering Technology Degrees • Competent and comfortable with intermediate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles • Strong aptitude and experience with the testing and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment • Team player with strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and reasoning skills. • Ability to interpret test results and troubleshoot test setups • Proven problem solving, analytical, and logical reasoning skills • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs • Proficient in the use of basic measurement, instrumentation equipment and data acquisition systems.
