What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
• Responsible for the designs of electro-mechanical devices, components, assemblies, fixtures & tooling, etc.
• Must have solid modeling software, ideally Solidworks.
• Reviews customer source control drawings, specification control drawings and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of a component, device, assembly, etc.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to implement specification, drawing and/or supplier revisions and updates.
• Will be immersed in molded part and mold tooling design.
• Understands capabilities of machining equipment
• Prepares preliminary design proposal(s) and provides technical support and
• Interacts with manufacturing personnel, and other necessary internal team members, to define and solve manufacturing/design issues
• Continuously interacts with customers on engineering design and any questions/concerns they may have.
