What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Lead Planner position at Actalent?
Actalent is hiring a Lead Planner to support a Turnaround group for a refinery in Laurel, MT. Must be able to work onsite and Per Diem is paid if traveling to this location.
Duties:
- Develop/Modify complete turnaround work orders that include additional production information, material lists, and work instructions required for turnaround.
- Assists in scheduling turnaround tasks within defined windows (milestone, key event and zone schedules).
- Monitors Work In Progress and on time material availability to ensure they remain within the company limits.
- Works with production and area management to sequence and prioritize processes around turnaround times.
- Tracks turnaround progress.
- Investigates causes of issues and delays in turnaround activities to eliminate them.
Requirements:
- 10 years as a Lead Planner in an industrial environment or refinery
- Strong knowledge and experience with Turnarounds and planning for Turnarounds
- Ability to mentor Junior Planners
- Strong attention to detail
