Actalent Services is seeking Travel Certified Medical Technologists to perform routine blood bank testing in North Mississippi.
Earn $2000 to $2500 a week!
Per Diem Offered!
Location: North Mississippi, Oxford, Tupelo
Experience: At least 2 years of experience working as a Certified Medical Technologist.
Experience working as a Generalist in Blood Banking.
Must hold active ASCP/ state license
Contract Assignment:
- 13 - Week Contract
- No On-Call Shift
Responsibilities:
Test biological samples to diagnose and treat different diseases. Working closely with urine, blood, and tissue samples, they prepare and examine specimen samples and communicate test results to medical professionals.
- Studies blood cells, their numbers, and morphology using a microscopic technique
- Analyze test results and enters findings in computer
- Perform blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair any issues with the equipment used in the laboratory
- Perform radiographic procedures at a technically acceptable level
- Maintain quality assurance of the laboratory by performing proficiency testing
- Reduce the potential for liability by following established practices and procedures for completing x-rays as requested by the physician
Candidates must be efficient and have a strong attention to detail to ensure integrity of laboratory results.
