Description:
Responsible for development and execution of the capital budget for the business, including new facilities, plant expansions, new equipment, and upgrades to existing equipment and infrastructure. This role is a key member of the strategic planning team responsible for strategy development, communication, and delivery, ensuring the long term success of the organization.

- Working with Operations, Quality, and Engineering resources, provide support, leadership, recipes, and tools to allow data-based decision making to continuously improve product consistency and fitness for use for our customers.
- Measure and monitor on-time shipment performance, and implement effective corrective actions through Operations leadership when issues arise.
- Drive data-based preventive and predictive maintenance processes through the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Technicians.
- Through the Operations team, manage staffing of equipment based on customer needs and inventory levels.
- Work with Cost out and Production Teams to measure and manage process waste, and drive improvements in the biggest opportunity areas through process improvements, training, recipe changes, raw material improvements, equipment improvements, etc.
- Lead and support capital and maintenance projects driven by business priorities. Develop and manage project justifications, budgets and schedules to ensure on time and on budget projects that meet or exceed business needs.
- Consider and address training & development needs of Manufacturing staff on an ongoing basis.
- Plan for and develop bench strength for all critical positions in the Manufacturing organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Labor contract negotiating skills and working experience in Union and non-Union facilities is preferred.
• Strong leadership experience with multiple facilities is necessary.
• Experience in coating, web handling, or pressure sensitive adhesives is preferred.
• Problem solving skills, lean methodology, quality process knowledge, facilitator training and other similar training is advantageous.
• Proven track record of improving efficiencies.
Experience Level:

MBA preferred
Degree in Science/Engineering or related field
7-10 years of manufacturing leadership with multi-site responsibility preferred
