What are the responsibilities and job description for the Work Planner position at Actalent?
Description:
• This person is going to be directly supporting General Foreman in the field • The primary job is to prepare and organize data for electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects • The goal of this position is to ensure that all construction permits are approved/obtained by the 1st day of construction - they will need to reach out to the engineers at ComEd to obtain these permits • Will be responsible making sure the crews are cleared to dig on the construction site • Digger is a 24-hour service network system established to prevent contractors and private citizens from hitting any existing utility line(s) when digging • Assist in preparing work pouches ---Project information that they give to the foreman (includes plans and permits) • Will be responsible for helping order material from vendors to the job site (IE they may need order wooden poles) They will make sure these materials are on site before construction kick off • Will be Entering data info relevant to budget in excel • They will create and manage spread sheets in excel • They will help track projects in a Comed software that they will be trained on

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Bachelors in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business administration (civil, mechanical, or construction degree is preferred) -0-4 years of experience working on construction projects in a project coordinator, project engineer, or project management position(willing to hire straight entry level or someone that only has internship experience) Must be able to create a spread sheet in excel Must be able to utilize email and outlook
