Job Description Summary
The Acterra Group is looking for candidates to perform Painting, Sandblasting, and Maintenance in our manufacturing division. The position will work under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager. Work includes prep, prime, paints, & decals on tanks in a manner which will ensure proper application per brand specifications. Sandblast, prep, & applies inside liners in tanks in a manner which will ensure proper application per brand specifications. Maintenance of manufacturing and painting equipment will be required.
Job Responsibilities
Sandblast, prep, prime, paints, & decals on tanks in a manner which will ensure proper application per brand specifications & according to department/Company standards.
Operate sandblaster, painting, & fiberglassing equipment in a safe and appropriate manner which will ensure proper application.
Sandblast, prep, prime, & applies paint on tanks in a manner which will ensure proper application per brand specifications & according to department/Company standards.
Performs other duties as assigned or necessary by Manager. This includes maintenance and cleaning activities.
Operates company trucks and fork lift trucks to move tanks and parts to various locations in shop and yard.
Fills out paper work and job cards involved with each process of production according to set procedures.
Checks and repairs any painting and liners on tanks as per the supervisor’s review and approval if needed.
Ensures responsibility for the maintenance of all equipment, tools and fixtures in assigned area.
Checks jobs after completion to ensure customer and company quality requirements are being maintained.
Anticipates material requirements and notifies supervisor in order to minimize production delays.
Maintains normal production standards, schedules as established by the department/Company.
Maintains equipment and work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Demonstrates appropriate safety standards and procedures for assigned area and Company.
Job Responsibilities
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent plus a minimum of one year experience; ability to use and understand advanced math, reading of shop drawings, spec’s, and a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauges.
Considerable physical exertion requiring a continuity of effort working with moderately heavy materials and/or tools or difficult work positions for sustained periods of time; requires working on top of tanks, ladders, and inside tank work; ability to pass Job physical requirements as required by Company.
