What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Supervisor On-Site position at Action Facilities Management Inc?
We are looking for a strong leader to provide guidance and oversight to the team of security personnel. This position is responsible for the safety and security of the facility and visitors to the facility. The Security Supervisor leads the team of security officers on-site in duties such as: patrols the building and grounds; investigates and writes incident reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activity, safety hazards, and other security related situations; and assists members of the public and individuals working in the facility.
In addition to regular Guard duties, the Security Supervisor will provide administrative support including new hire training, creating shift schedules, and compiling monthly reports, etc. Successful candidate will be a self-starter and take initiative to make the project their own and successful.
Pay Rate: $28.25 per hour
Required Experience:
- 2 years of experience as a supervisor in the security field such as Security, Law Enforcement, or Military
- Experience in employee disciplinary and performance management
- Proven leadership experience
- Experience in writing reports
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders including government representatives
- Value and instill a culture of teamwork
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and email applications
- Must be able to successfully complete a government background check, upon hire
Preferred Experience:
- Prior military or law enforcement, preferred
- Education in addition to High School Diploma
Essential Duties:
- Creating shift schedules
- Assist with the training of new security staff
- Submit monthly Activity Reports
- Develop Standards of Procedures (SOPs)
- Train security staff on existing and new SOPs
- Compile daily activity totals
- Patrolling the building
- Controlling access to the building
- Writing security/ safety related incident reports
- Escorting
- Assist police with investigations
- Interacting with members of the public
- Monitoring CCTV
- Respond to emergency situations
- Other duties as assigned
