```Job Summary```
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen/food truck operations. Your creativity, leadership skills, and passion for culinary excellence will be essential in ensuring the success of our businesses. Our ideal candidate will have culinary arts training and background with an interest in owning or starting their own food business is a bonus. This position requires full-time availability, at least 35 hours a week. Our ideal candidate demonstrates a professional image, and serves as the example to other team members. Our Chef must understand our brand, show strong communication skills and always be on time.
```Responsibilities```
-Ensure food quality is exceptional by conducting a line tasting before each service
- Supervise and coordinate all activities in the kitchen
- Manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other personnel
- Ensure that food preparation and presentation meet high-quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the management team to create new dishes and improve existing recipes
- Coordinate catering operations with Event Manager and ensure timely delivery of food orders
-Prepare and cook menu items with accordance with house recipes and quality standards
-Maintains Servesafe certification and food worker card
-Create and complete kitchen prep list for each event
-Maintains Food truck equipment and report any issues to Facilities Manager asap
-Inspects kitchen equipment to ensure everything is up to compliance. Report any issues to Facilities Manager asap
-Ability to lift 40 lbs. and 20 lbs overhead

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent knowledge of food service management principles and practices
- Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- In-depth understanding of kitchen operations and best practices
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
