We are looking for multiple people to join our growing Metal Fabricator team at our Forest Lake, MN location! Metal Fabrication is a fantastic position offering up to $30/hr. Activar Industrial Products Group (AIPG) manufactures and distributes thousands of products.
Our team of fabricating technicians run high quality, low tolerance parts. We are a metal fabricator specializing in precision tube forming, bending, and rolling. In addition, our expansive workshop allows for complimentary fabrication methods such as welding, finishing, drilling, laser, tapping, and sheet metal applications. This position performs tube bending set-ups and operations to produce quality parts. On the job training provided!
Hours: Our typical 1st Shift is Mon-Thurs. 6am – 4:30pm or Tue. – Fri. 6am- 4:30pm
Pay: Up to $30/hr. DOE, Paid weekly every Friday!
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform tub bending operations per job specifications.
- Operate machines to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.
- Accurately and efficiently complete orders to established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all required documentation.
- Meet daily production and quality goals.
- Achieve and strive to expected run rates.
- Assist other operators as needed or directed.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
- Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.
- Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
- Versatile in all material ranges.
- Able to design unique tooling to expand machine capabilities.
- Basic ability to understand blue prints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
- Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- One year of applicable experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
Preferred:
- Previous tube bending experience.
- Vocational certification or degree.
- Experience following ISO procedures.

The employee must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.
