What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Trainer position at Active Dog LLC?
An open position as a "Dog Trainer" is currently available within our company Active Dog LLC.
After training is fulfilled, your work day will include training client dogs in their homes, hiking trails, public parks, and/or pet friendly stores. Most training consists of Hike and Trains (training a dog while on a hiking trail, with or without other dogs depending on what you are working on), and private training sessions (working one on one with the client). This is a hybrid position so you will also help with small pack hikes as well on days that your training schedule is light.
This is a very rewarding job that will allow you to teach dogs new skills, watch them gain confidence, and live happier, healthier lives.
Positives to this position: We have an amazing team, you'll spend your day working with dogs, form relationships with clients, job security, great pay and tips.
Harder parts to this position: There is a decent amount of driving involved, sometimes the weather isn't the best, we are a service business, so we do work almost every day of the year (as a team). We also require some weekend help.
