Acton Medical Associates, PC is a community-oriented group committed to the highest quality of care. We are currently seeking RNs or LPNs for our busy internal medicine and pediatric practice to work as a phone triage nurse for our patients. This is an on-site position.

In this role you will:

  • Triage patients over the telephone. Assess and evaluate their concerns, screen for illnesses
  • Facilitate office visits as necessary, decide and coordinate timeliness of visit as needed (i.e. ED, urgent care, this week, next week, etc.)
  • Educate patients (or patents/guardians) about diagnosis, treatments, medications
  • Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff regarding patient care
  • Refill patient prescriptions adhering to principles of safety and medical knowledge

Candidate should have:

  • Current Massachusetts licensing (RN or LPN) and CPR certification
  • Experience with phone triage in a group practice preferred
  • Computer skills such as working with an (EMR) Electronic medical record system daily. Experience with EClinicalWorks a plus
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required
