ADAM
The Advanced Digital Design and Manufacturing (ADAM) project seeks to accelerate Airbus’ transition towards digital design and manufacturing. The team is uniquely positioned to identify and innovate on emerging technologies with collaborators in Silicon Valley and across the globe. ADAM provides a platform to drastically reduce aerospace product lead-times and production costs. Through our tool-agnostic framework, we integrate existing and newly developed software solutions. We provide easy-to-use tools to design and automate processes in aerospace manufacturing.
The Opportunity
As our UX designer, you’ll collaborate closely with the Sr. UI-UX designer to apply user experience best practices (including research, journeys, prototypes, clickables and wireframes) to translate stakeholders’ needs and industry problems into less complex flows that Airbus engineers will use.You will also help perform user testing on existing engineering tools. This is a contract role for 6 months with the possibility of conversion into a full time position. Conversion is at Acubed’s discretion, and is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities
- Work with UI-UX (User Interface-User Experience) and development teams translating business and user needs and technology constraints into solution concepts that are meaningful, easy to use and engaging
- Design journey maps, navigation design, sitemaps, information architecture, wireframes, storyboards and prototypes
- Collaborate in combining UX thinking with design execution to help produce usable and intuitive user interfaces and flows
- Consider existing applications and evaluate their UX effectiveness, user testing.
Requirements
- 3 years of UX design focused on digital products, preferably complex flows
- 1 years of experience in designing complex interfaces
- Experience in E2E products, B2B, building engineering tools/manufacturing interfaces - preferred
- Solid understanding of user experience design
- Fluent in user-centered design best practices
- Experience with user research such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing
- Adept at handling and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data
- Knowledge of industry tools: design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe XD, Figma, and analytics tracking tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
- Familiarity with industry development technologies/front end such as react; coding environment is a plus
- A sample portfolio demonstrating UX design processes and how your solution(s) helped a product achieve UX best practices
- Documented proof of fully vaccinated status required (or qualify for an exemption)

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location and years of experience the hourly rate for this project is $70.00-$95.00
