As an Environmental Specialist at ACV Enviro you’ll receive:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks at customer sites relating to lab safety, environmental compliance, and hazardous material/waste management. Tasks include:

  • Unpack labpacks and process waste for the most economical means of disposal- either by pouring off or repacking.
  • Handling, classifying, segregating, labeling, and packaging (LAB PACKING) hazardous and non-hazardous materials according to Federal and State regulations.
  • Training laboratory/production staff to understand proper chemical handling/storage techniques and relevant environmental laws.
  • Preparing shipping documents and coordinating transportation of chemical products and hazardous waste materials to and from customer sites.
  • Performing consolidation of hazardous materials/waste (i.e. bulking, repackaging).
  • Ensure that waste is accurately tracked from drum to drum and from plant to destination.
  • Providing expert knowledge on government regulations, health and safety practices, and proper disposal methods to customers.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· 4-year BA/BS degree REQUIRED.

· Major in Environmental Science, Chemistry PREFERRED.

· Must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment physical w/ drug screen.

· Must have a clean driving record for the past 2 years.

· Must be willing and able to wear and properly use all levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) including air-purifying respirators.
