What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bench Carpenter position at ACW Millwork & Cabinetry?
ACW is looking for a motivated candidate who has a strong focus on detail and strives to create products that showcase our continued focus on quality and deliver above client expectations.
As a Bench Carpenter, duties entail but are not limited to working with project managers and shop floor personal to bring projects from design to fabrication ready to deliver to clients and / or install on site.
Duties may occasionally include delivery and/or onsite installs.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-5 years working with hand and power tools in the fabrication of products involving wood, metal, plastics, composites, and/or various other materials.
- Interpreting design drawings and technical documents.
- Applying construction math.
- Excellent communication with project managers and co-workers.
- Shape, cut and form materials operating manual power equipment.
- Ability to recognize and develop solutions to common construction problems.
- Assemble cabinetry, casework and architectural millwork from cut parts according to design documentation.
- Maintain a clean working environment including maintenance/cleaning of equipment and personal work areas.
- Time management.
- Ability to follow company safety practices.
- Conduct inventory and receive deliveries as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
- Shape, cut and form materials operating CNC controlled equipment.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
- Experience supervising others.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts.
