What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Data Sales Executive (REMOTE) position at Acxiom?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Sales Executive to join our team. The Senior Data Seller will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and selling datasets and high-value audiences to clients in various industries. This includes for driving revenue growth by selling our data solutions to new logos and prior clients, researching market trends and client needs, negotiating data transactions and licensing agreements, and managing the sale and delivery of data products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data and analytics and be able to communicate the value of data insights to clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute an individual sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets
Collaborate with data analysts to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to identify new sales opportunities and improve existing products
- Leverages external relationships and personal networks to generate sales leads for territory.
- Responsible for selling the company’s mid-level complexity products or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts.
- Expanding productive internal/external working relationships.
- Recognizes situations that warrant initiative and moves forward without hesitation; reasonably resolves issues, problems, or situations.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements to ensure that our data solutions remain competitive
- Manage and prioritize sales opportunities and pipelines, providing regular updates and action plans to management
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring that they are profitable for the company
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as business, marketing, or computer science)
- 5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the data or technology industry
- Strong knowledge of data analytics and the ability to communicate the value of data insights to clients
Proven success in selling across multiple client lines of business.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data solutions and communicate their value to clients
- Experience negotiating contracts and agreements with clients
- Familiarity with data analytics and data management solutions
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
