What we're looking for

We are looking for an organized, friendly and responsible person to join our team of Transport Drivers. The ideal candidate will have a driver's license and be comfortable driving a large wheelchair van. The candidate should have experience operating large equipment as well as excellent organizational and time management skills. Transport Drivers are often the first point of contact for customers, so we are interested in hiring individuals with a commitment to customer satisfaction and an ability to make quick and accurate decisions. Applicants who have had wheelchair/PASS training from ModivCare within the past 2 years will be prioritized.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load and transport patients to and from doctor's appointments, day support, dialysis, and other designated locations.
• Maintain punctuality with all trips.
• Provide excellent customer service to members, attendants, and staff at group homes, day supports, and offices.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report any maintenance issues immediately.
• Complete an accident/incident report any time an extraordinary event takes place while members are in the vehicle.
• Maintain daily trip logs using dispatching app on company-provided mobile device.
• Communicate delays immediately with supervisor.

This position does require regular physical exertion daily (pushing/pulling clients in wheelchairs, entering/exiting the vehicle multiple times per day, bending/stooping to secure wheelchairs, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $150.00 per day
