What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Electrical Technician position at ADAMA?
In addition to this Job Description this position will need to have at least 3 years of electrical experience.
Will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the facility’s business goals and objectives.
Core Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant’s equipment.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting for motor controls and drives.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must have basic math skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing · Must be able to convert US standards to metrics
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Must be forklift certifiable
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to work overtime when required, including weekends and holidays ·
- Must be able to take call, including after shift hours, weekends and holidays ·
Minimum Education/experience:
Diploma, degree, or license in some form of industrial maintenance.
3 years or more in the field, manufacturing or production preferred.
Physical Demands:
- · Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day
- · Must be able to lift/move up to 75 pounds occasionally
- · Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Must be able to climb stairs
- · Must be able to climb, bend and stoop
- · Must be able to see and hear.

Plant environment
Frequent exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals.
