The Star Democrat (Easton, Maryland) is looking for a general assignment reporter.

The position is a critical part of the Star Democrat newsroom. We want someone who can go beyond meetings to find stories the community needs to know. The ideal reporter has experience in newsrooms and has a knack for creative stories – both news and features. You’ll take your own photos for stories.

The newspaper is located in Easton, Maryland, on the beautiful Eastern Shore. This newspaper covers stories in a five-county region.

Amenities include close proximity to Chesapeake Bay and all of its many water sports and activities. There is a vibrant arts and entertainment scene and hundreds of wonderful restaurants on the Eastern Shore.

Easton is about an hour from Baltimore and 90 minutes from Washington, D.C.
