Job Purpose Summary:
The Trucking Clerk supports Adams Trucking, Inc. by communicating and coordinating efforts between truck drivers, farmers, growers, storage facilities, and dispatchers to ensure smooth operations. The Trucking Clerk maintains excellent records and has a high level of ownership over their work to provide assistance and time savings to the ATI Manager.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Communicates via phone and email with all related parties including the truck drivers, customers and suppliers, down to the field and operations level.
- Checks in daily with key personnel to ensure smooth operations
- Records data and updates logs in real-time
- Assists the ATI Manager with onboarding new drivers and monitoring daily activities
- Prepares data reports on productivity output for reporting to management
- Other responsibilities as directed by the ATI Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Some college
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel
- Excellent communication skills to handle driver and farmer relations with professionalism
- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize incoming calls and radio communications accordingly
- 1 year in data entry or related roles
- 1 year of dispatch experience
- 1 year of team lead experience
- Capacity to remain calm and composed in high pressure situations
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workflow demands during peak harvest season
- Overtime as necessary is a requirement to the performance of this position.
- Legally authorized to work in the Unites States
- Must be proficient in reading, speaking and writing in English for the purpose of record keeping, safety and training processes.
