Casework Assembly Shift Supervisor

Adams Group is seeking a 2^nd Shift Supervisor to join our team!

TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for directing and coordinating the efficient assembly and completion of all cabinets in a timely manner which meets or exceeds established quality standards and manufacturing schedule. This position also includes coordinating the staging and loading of all cabinets or related items to insure 100% accuracy and minimizing the risks of damage during transport as well as providing all documents and updating all records/systems to reflect the status of each project properly and accurately.

Work Hours: 2^nd SHIFT (3 pm to midnight)

Average of 50 hours per week and weekends as needed. Normal shift hours are from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed. These hours are subject to change based on production needs. Ability to work overtime is required.

Required education and experience:

• High School Degree or GED
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and 5 “S” concept of plant management
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and cut lists
• Ability to assemble cabinets based on established standards and drawings
• Basic hand tool knowledge and experience to include but not limited to tape measure, combination square, table saw, miter saw, sliding table saw, radial arm saw, saber saw, portable router, screw pocket machine, pneumatic nailers, and staple guns.
• Basic communication skills
• Math skills such as adding, subtracting, division, fractions, and decimals

• Clean and neat appearance

Essential functions:

• Lead and train others
• May be required to assist in other areas of the plant
• Maintain safety awareness for entire team
• Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels, by hand or using boring machine
• Confirms checklist is complete
• Installs hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, and drawer pulls
• Sand and scrape surface and joints to prepare articles for laminating
• Use and accurately read a tape measure
• Stack completed work in specified staging area for delivery
• Contribute their best to producing an exceptional product
• Perform job in cost-effective manner
• Always perform job safely including wearing safety glasses and ask for help with lifting
• On time and present for work daily
• Take responsibility for getting the work done
• Willing to share in any overtime
• Other duties as assigned
