The Food Service Worker is accountable to provide all aspects of patient meal service. This individual is responsible for the preparation of hot and cold menu items for patient and cafeteria meals, as well as for special functions. The Food Service Worker is accountable to have a fundamental understanding of prescribed diet information and food allergy protocols. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, obtaining patient meal orders, assembling trays, communicating prescribed diets, maintaining patient kardex system, preparing food following recipes, washing dishes, other kitchen related tasks, open and close the cafeteria, serve customers, run the cash register, and receive & put away vendor orders. The Food Service Worker must proficiently complete all required documentation and abide by all sanitation and food safety standards. It is also vital to display exceptional client service at all times.
Requirements:
PRN
3:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Every other weekend and holiday required (weekends include Saturdays and Sundays)
High School Graduate or equivalent required (unless you are an HS Student)
Serv-Safe certification preferred
Works around areas and equipment of abnormal temperatures. Requires extensive standing. Requires full range of body motion including but not limited to, standing, walking, sitting, hand and finger dexterity, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, etc. Some heavy lifting. This job requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted.
